Or, more to the point, if you want to get some checks and cheap shots in, the post-whistle action is your chance - and it opens the door for a good old-fashioned battle. To boot it's only a matter of time before your teammates come rushing to your defense and instigate chucking a couple shots of their own, courtesy of the original heights of cleverness in gaming technology.} It won't come as any surprise that these brawls quickly deteriorate into an all out mess on the ice - the sport is known for this sort of thing.
Of course, giving the game even more flavor is the Xbox NHL 10 soundtrack.} Not content to have cheesy organ music, Xbox NHL 10 provides the players with the backdrop to some of the best gaming action they'll ever encounter. The video game world was certain that they'd reached the top with this hit It almost hurts to look at that old stuff - you're better off cleansing your vision by taking another look at Xbox NHL 10, and realizing how good you've got it. The greatness is amplified when you realize just how many NHL 10 features were nonexistent in the older games.} There was no Battle for the Cup, no Playoff Mode, no Season Mode, no Be a GM or Be a Tough Guy. And let's not get started on the lack of online gaming back then. Nothing else you could do but keep dreaming.} You had six teams, flickering graphics, and little else. Sports video games go to new heights, though, with Xbox NHL 10. It was more or less expected that the reviewers all felt strongly about this one, naming Xbox NHL 10 as one of their all-time favorite sports video games.} You'll be on board with the reviewers as soon as you see the game for yourself - the players' movements are so spot-on that you'll think you're watching an actual NHL game. You gotta hand it to EA - they really nailed it with NHL 10, and set a new sports video game standard in the process.} Xbox NHL 10 deserves some sort of gaming award just for the detail in the players' facial expressions - they put many of today's "A-List" actors to shame, and certainly the "B-List" actors found on your girlfriend's soap operas. Then there are the fight scenes, which boast a first person perspective that you won't believe.} It's as if you're honestly glimpsing at a pair of fists banging the pants out of you, but missing the shiners, blood and possible internal damages.}
As in NHL 09, familiar voices Gary Thorne and Bill Clement join the action with their on-the-money commentary. It's pretty impressive, having a pair like them.} Think about these two gentlemen's qualifications.} First there's "Clement, Clement, Hand of Cement," Bill Clement, revered NHL All-Star, and member of the ESPN family.} And Clement's co-commentator, ESPN's Gary Thorne, is held in high regard as well.} Hearing these men call the game is a grand experience.} Xbox NHL 10 is so genuine that you'll be positive that the pair is sitting down in your dwelling. On top of all the other upgrades and improvements, precision passing is one that will jazz gamers of all skill levels. In this game, the hardcore gamer has much supplementary bearing on the puck's total alacrity, in contrast to the earlier installments in the NHL video game series. And for those of you who've really mastered your slap shot, you can bank your passes off of the board.} Hardcore gamers can, for the first time, battle on the boards, as Xbox NHL 10 presents still more upgrades that will excite the video game world. You heard me - now, when you're in possession of the puck but are pinned up against the boards, you have the ability to stop your rival from nabbing the puck, by kick-passing it to a teammate. On the other hand, if your rival is being pinned to the boards by you, then you can really put yourself in charge - assuming you're the best player on the rink.}
